The Funding Model
Why Donations Matter.
Most fashion shows are funded by the designers themselves — who pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege of showing. That model locks out the designers who can't afford it, regardless of talent.
The {Autonomous} Collective inverts that model. Designers are selected on merit and show at no cost. The production — venue, lighting, sound, casting, hair and makeup, logistics — is funded entirely by donors and institutional partners.
When you donate to The {Autonomous} Collective, you are directly funding a designer's ability to show at New York Fashion Week on merit alone.
